# Chart Screenshots: Attach Visual Context to Every Trade

> Add up to 20 chart images per trade in NextTick, drag directly from TradingView, set a primary thumbnail, and reorder for a complete visual record.

A price and a P\&L number tell you what happened. A chart screenshot tells you why. NextTick lets you attach multiple chart images to any trade in your log so you can review the exact setup, entry, and exit visually — not just numerically. Screenshots are stored per trade and displayed in the order you choose, with one image designated as the primary thumbnail shown in the trade table.

## Plan limits

| Plan | Screenshots per trade |
| ---- | --------------------- |
| Free | Up to 2               |
| Pro  | Up to 20              |

## Adding screenshots to a trade

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the trade in the Trade Log">
    Click any row in the Trade Log table to open the trade detail panel. The screenshot area appears below the trade fields.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Drag a chart image from TradingView">
    In TradingView (or your charting platform), take a snapshot of the chart using the platform's built-in screenshot tool. Drag the downloaded image file directly from your desktop or downloads folder into the screenshot drop zone in NextTick. The upload starts immediately.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Or browse and upload a file">
    If you prefer not to drag and drop, click the **Upload screenshot** button inside the screenshot area to open a file picker. Select one or more image files from your filesystem. Supported formats are PNG, JPG, and WebP.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the primary screenshot">
    After uploading, hover over any screenshot thumbnail and click the **Set as primary** option. The primary screenshot is used as the trade's thumbnail image wherever trade cards are displayed, including your public profile if the trade is shared.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reorder screenshots via drag">
    Drag the screenshot thumbnails within the panel into your preferred order. Your chosen order is preserved the next time you open the trade.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Use two screenshots per trade as a baseline: one showing the **entry chart** (the setup as it looked when you pulled the trigger) and one showing the **exit chart** (how the trade resolved). This before-and-after pair is the most useful format when reviewing trades days or weeks later, because it separates what you saw from what actually happened.
</Tip>

## Notes on screenshots

* **Deleting a trade** also deletes all screenshots attached to it. This action cannot be undone.
* **Screenshots are trade-specific** — they cannot be shared between two different trade records.
* **Supported file formats** are PNG, JPG, and WebP.
